Amid the rain and cold weather, it is good timing for me to have completed my headband. I really enjoy the final look of this project due to the stitch pattern. It looks a lot more complicated and time-consuming than it is. I did end up altering the stitch it on the fly as I found it difficult to turn the project and work backwards (this will make more sense after watching the videos from my previous post). by doing this, it altered the stitch pattern slightly. Instead of having the raised stitches all on one side, and occurring with every chain, they happen on both sides, occurring every second chain. I enjoy the look of this more as it spaced the stitches out and allowed for a cleaner, less crowded look. It is also technically reversible, as the raised stitches are the same on either side, so that is a bonus as well.

The dimensions of this particular headband are 12 stitches for the width and 52 chains for the length. I did not follow any sort of outline for these measurements, I simply did so based on my personal preference for the width and the length was according to my head, and how tight I wanted it.

In total, it took me about 2 hours to make, and that is including the two chains I had to re-stitch. (I noticed that I did to like the way one section looked, so I pulled the yarn and unchained the chains to re-stitch them to my satisfaction). I really enjoy this aspect of crocheting as I am able to fix/re-do sections if I am not pleased with my initial attempt.

Throughout this project, I followed two mindfulness videos. I have recently been picking my videos from a youtube channel called The Honest Guys. I recommend checking out their channel.

My next project is going to be the same headband, except with a dark grey, rather than light grey. After that, I would like to make another headband with the same stitch pattern, but alternating the colours throughout.
